How to Pair Black Dog with Your Favorite Chocolate – A Guide
I was researching on the topic of Chocolate & Scotch paring together for a while, so I combined many flavors of chocolate with various Black Dog variants to figure out which one is the most suitable with which flavor.
While pairing chocolate and scotch collectively, take the scotch on a palate & move it around the mouth for few seconds and let the flavors assemble. Then swallow it, and after that linger for a few seconds. Now put a bit of chocolate on your tongue. Its time to get pleasure from both of them as chocolate melts slowly and both chocolate and scotch comes together. The face of your tongue will taste the sweetness, the back will tang bitter taste and the sides will notice an acerbic taste. Keep in mind & always allow the chocolate to liquefy, do not chew it to diminish the taste of the scotch. As the chocolate melts, more flavors will be unconstrained.
Keep in mind that chocolate helps to circumvent alcohol blaze and helps you to get the awesome taste of the Scotch. But keep in mind that as not every chocolate tastes the same, same is true for scotches. Honey and Hazelnut bout with the Golden color and sweetness of Honey will match with the honey flavored in Black Dog Centenary which is the Black Dog 8YO Scotch. If you like the chocolate with a taste of Ginger, then it will go with the Black Dog Quintessence or the 21 Year Old variant of the Black Dog family.
If you are like me then you may like to have the chocolate which has butterscotch flavor; in that case, it can perfectly match with Black Dog 18 YO which is also popular among its drinker as BD Centenary. In today’s big retails store you will find many chocolates that come with Almond and Cashew flavors, those kinds of chocolates can be consumed with Black Dog Quintessence.

Enjoying Holi with Friends & Black Dog – Part Three
We all were playing Holi with much fun, joy & lots of colors, only Adi was bit depressed but we knew sooner or later Zubia will join us. So we were enjoying our play. All of a sudden Zubi jumped from no where with a bucket of red color. Adi was so thrilled to watch Zubi joined us. As we all know that the tradition of Holi is to drink ‘Bhang’ but we all had a different plan, we lined up few bottles of Black Dog 8yrs aka BD Centenary, alongside BD 12yrs aka BD Deluxe, I had a bottle of BD 18yrs aka BD Reserve on my car’s dickey, but as usual it was for the evening chill out.
We had a bug bucket where we mixed both the variants of Black Dog & during play we enjoy it as a refresher. We had a lot’s of fun & at the end we all jumped together on the pool to clean the things.
At the evening we all dance together & not to mention enjoying our favorite foods along with BD Centenary. After the dinner we all teasing Adi to propose Zubia; that poor chap was on cloud nine after hearing Zubia saying “Aditya is very nice guy, I like him a lot”. He though that it’s a yes from her end. We insisted Adi to give it a try. We proposed her after offering her a glass of her beloved scotch the BD Deluxe. But Zubia, the Pyscho cunningly refused him by saying she’s not thinking about any serious relationship now as she has a long & prosperous future plan.
At night we all grabbed our bean bags & couches to watch an awesome romantic Hollywood movie. Many of us enjoyed the splendid aroma of BD Reserve – A truly noble spray of succulent malty tones and rich smooth textures with a tip-off of oloroso sherry in the background.
I asked Shilpa (one of close friend from school) how was the taste, she said just mind blowing, and I’m trying this variant of the Black Dog for the first time & if’s Round and mellow complex quixotic flavors with an unimpeachable balance of individual malt and grain whiskies and silky pliable tones that dance on the tongue.
After a long time I enjoyed the festival of color, fun & togetherness, for a long long time I will remember this year’s Holi as a very special occasion, not because we met with our old friends, but the way we played together, danced together & enjoy our favorite Scotch Black Dog together.

Enjoying Holi with Friends & Black Dog – Part Two
Aditya slowly & steadily tried to friendly with Zubia as she was totally aroused by the aroma of Black Dog Centenary, she was enjoying every bit of BD 8YO & Robust body, pronounced rich malt and oak and sherry sweetness, spreads warmly in the mouth like silent sea waves. She was totally descended into the aroma of BD. Adi served her yet another peg & himself one to get cozy with her. When Zubia asked her why he’s not joining us, he replied he hates such silly playing with colors & allowed us to play on his farm house just because we are his old friends. Zubia knew something is uncanny so he counter attacked him by saying, she lover the color game of holi, this year as she has this assignment she wasn’t able to play it.
She also offered if Adi really hates to play this wet & untidy game, why doesn’t he help her by sitting here & take the snaps for her magazine as she will join us for the game of color – Holi. Adi was totally confused, if he agrees to stay aback, he will lose her company for the game, if he plays with us, Zubia then has to stay with the camera to shot us while playing. After a brief pause, he replied, Ok dear you go ahead, I will capture you.
Zubia knew that Adi loves to play Holi & he’s saying that just to impress her. She replied with a smiling face, you go ahead & play with them, let me enjoy my Black Dog in solitarily then I will take the required snaps of you guys & join you in few minutes. After saying this she took a sip of the BD from her tulip glass, Adi could see the pleasure in her eyes, the awesome aroma of amber with golden colored Centenary makes her feral. She again insisted Adi to join us.
She keeps enjoying her drink with her favorite ice cream as we all playing the game of color Holi…

Enjoying Holi with Friends & Black Dog
First of all wish you & your family a very happy & colorful holi, hope you had a great day! Mine was just unbelievable. At around 7am I received a call from my school friend Zubia, who shifted to London last summer. She wakes me & tells me to get ready as soon as possible. Initially I though she was kidding, but when she said she is in the city & coming towards my house, that was a bombshell. Well she was one hot chic but a bit psycho!
I jumped from my bed & hit the shower, while preparing my breakfast, she knocked my door. We had our breakfast together. During it I asked her, what she is doing here. She explained she’s here for an office assignment & she has to capture few colorful images for her magazine back London. BTW she is an awesome photographer since school days. I said I had already booked schedule with Simran & other school buddies, so it will be a great Holi gift for them as well, she jumped & agreed with me to join.
We had our party at Aditya’s farm house just outside of the city; it’s an awesome place to relaxing & chilling out. The farm house is full of trees & an awesome swimming pool. All welcomed Zubia & appreciate her progress in life & as I mentioned earlier she she’s a bit psycho, she strictly instructed everyone to not pour any color on her expensive dress or on her camera.
Aditya who was flirting with Zubia since school days instructed us to follow her instructions & not to cross a 3fts radius of her. She was impressed. Adi brings her a glass of drink, when she asked what’s that, he explained that he wants her to relax & unwind with this awesome Black Dog Centenary & take her best shots of us.
…FEW MINUTES BACK…Adi visited me & said, finally he’s ready to tell her his feelings, but before that he needs to impress her with something. I knew Zubu is a big Black Dog Scotch fan, so I told me to bring the bottle from my car & serve her personally.
It’s worked! She was enjoying every bit of it by closing her eyes & she said …”umm…I just love the aroma of BD 8YO: Its Matured wood, toasted malt, mild honey sweetness, delicate butterscotch bordering on cream, with floral nuances that emerges at the end makes me crazy. Adi was highly flabbergasted as it really worked.

5 Killer Tips for First Time Scotch Drinker – A Must Read
Today I’m going to discuss a very important topic for those who haven’t taste the amber gold colored Bold and magnificent Scotch, then you must not make any further hindrance. But before you sink your lips into it, here are some killer tips to make your experience a more stirring one:
Single-malt vs. blended-scotch – which is better?: It’s all a matter of taste preference. Single-malt simply suggests that a product made with malted-barley whisky from one distillery. This will mean totally different barrels or batches from the one distillery, and also the year on the label indicates the youngest barrel used in the product. Black Dog Quintessence is an awesome example of single malt premium Scotch whisky. An integrated scotch may be a product created with whisky from two or more totally different distilleries. It’s also more common for integrated scotch to use totally different grain scotches, like barley, wheat, corn, etc. The Black Dog Centenary aka 12YO is a perfect for any blended Scotch lover.
Older doesn’t equal better: Once again, it depends on the consumer & his/her taste, but keep in mind that a Scotch is not a Wine, so it’s not always true that ‘Older is Better’. A younger scotch may taste more fruity, with hints of vanilla. An older scotch may have a more intricate essence, with hints of caramel. The longer a scotch is aged in an oak cask, the more it will pick up flavor from the cask. The color of scotch is also resolute by the cask. A shady scotch has more prone to aged in an ex-sherry cask. Color is also exaggerated when the grain has been dry-smoked. The Black Dog Centenary which is a 8yrs old variant, BD Deluxe is 12 yrs old, Black Dog Reserve is an perfect example of 18 yrs old Scotch whereas the most expensive as well as finest true Scotch Whisky is Black Dog Quintessence which is 21yrs old.
Scotch is best served in tulip glasses: Instead of large glasses try to savor your Scotch (preferable Black Dog’s variants for best taste, aroma & overall experience) in a Tulip Glass, which is meant to incarcerate the aroma of the scotch. A wine glass is a good alternate. If neither is available, a low-ball is suitable.
Don’t swirl: You may be tempted to swirl your scotch, but resist the enticement! Swirling releases alcohol, which may overwhelm the true taste and aroma of the scotch.
Scotch is best served at room warmth: conventionally, scotch is served with a side of spring water. Add water, if desired, little by little to your taste. Many might think of avoiding the water, but reality adding adequate amount of water will enrich the taste of the Scotch. If you do prefer cold scotch however, pack your glass with ice rather than toting up one or two cubes. More ice will keep your scotch chilled, without diluting it too much.

Cherishing the School Memories with Friends & Black Dog – Part Two
Me & Simran chatted about half an hour about our past ^ present days, we laughed on all our past silly fights. Then my cell phone rang & I saw one of our friends was calling from the lounge. We joined them for the dinner at the dining area.
By the time we started main course our talks changed several times and all of us started sweet arguments on the current topic, in fact the argument increased our appetite and we had more food than usual.
As we were ending our main course I proposed to them who want to taste world’s best scotch? Like the school day’s all of them started shouting… Me..Me…Me…
Well all the nearby customers are in a shock as the place was a five star & everybody are so aristocrat in nature, those might even thinking, who are those hooligans? But does it matter to us? Hell No…I ordered a fresh bottle of BD Reserve which is the 18 Year Old variant of Black Dog.
The color of it is Deep, golden, glossy and mahogany. Everybody of us just loved the taste of it Round and smooth complex quixotic flavors with an immaculate balance of individual malt and grain whiskies and silky soft tones that dance on the tongue. I explained to them the finishing of BD Reserve, it’s luxuriously smooth and long, a testament to the malt & grain whiskies which have spent 18 long years in oak casks & vats. So pals savor it with every single sip.
We were served some Black Dog which made food so relishing that our conversations took backseat for a while.
Now was time for some lip smacking desserts and desserts combined with black dog is like fruit-salad with ice-cream, yummy and irresistible. It was such a fun-filled treat to all our sense that we decided to have such food n drinks every week n regenerate ourselves…
