The 3rd edition of India International Jewellery Week was a grand success due to the great enthusiasm and the outstanding performance by the designers and participants from the jewellery fraternity.
Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas unveiled their new range of contemporary jewellery ‘Aranya’ at the India International Jewellery Week 2012. A 3D projection added glamour to this magnificent event, which was perhaps witnessed for the first time in any jewellery show in India. A divine arena of a forest was created in the atmosphere through the 3D projection. This was perfectly complemented by the wispy aroma of nature, which is essentially the theme of Aranya.
The audience was left spell bound by the mesmerizing jewellery. The show featured signature pieces from the new collection “Aranya” which included uncut diamonds, flat cut diamonds and colored precious gemstones influenced by the contemporary designs of animal and floral patterns. All the designs were unique in their own style and texture. The main essence of the collection is felt in the bold use of vibrant colors and gemstones in order to develop designs representing the true aura of wildlife.
The showstopper for the evening was the gorgeous Sushmita Sen, in her charismatic black attire. She walked the ramp with Creative Director, Mr Yash Agarwal, wearing dazzling jewellery from the Aranya collection. She looked absolutely stunning with the exquisite bracelet around her wrist adorned with elephant motif.
Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas is a brand known for dealing in mesmerizing designs of gold, diamonds, colored stones and intricately handcrafted enameled jewellery. Birdhichand has participated in all editions of IIJW till date.
Leading Indian choreographer Achala Sachdev immaculately choreographed the show.
“Aranya is symbolic of the compassion and love I feel for the nature’s most beautiful gift to us that is animals. It is my tribute to nature and a message for the society to ‘Love and Save Animals’ and not destroy the lovely gift of God”, said Mr. Yash Agarwal, the brand designer of Birdhichand.
The second day of the India International Jewelry Week saw the dynamic Dia Mirza swagger her awesome neck piece on the ramp for Golecha Jewels. Wearing a black strapless layered gown, along with heavy pearl, diamond and ruby encrusted jewelry, Dia Mirza looked just stunning on the ramp.
