Tell us about your blog?

Giasaysthat.com an Indian Fashion & Lifestyle blog . It encompasses personal style , DIYs & Video tutorials. Other than Fashion , Photography & Graphic designing has always intrigued me. This blog is a medium through which I portray my love for Fashion , photography & Art in general.
I had started off on youtube as a vlogger in 2010. I shifted to blogging as it was much easier to blog that to edit & post videos.
What made you chose blogging which you are doing now?
Blogging is a platform through which you can express your thoughts. As a Media student who was studying Journalism, I was quite annoyed with the fact that I was surrounded by non-fashion lovers. Being one of the few people who had a passion for it , I decided to express myself through this little blog.
Tell us about the best part of your work
You get to teach people & learn a lot from them! Bloggers are invited to various events as well. Through Blogging I have received various opportunities including writing for a newspaper as a Fashion columnist. Nowadays ,a lot people prefer blogs over Fashion magazines. The blogging community in India is slowly growing!
How/where do you see yourself/your work in next 3/5 years from now?
Honestly , you cannot predict the future! Once I graduated from college , I thought I would be a graphic designer then a stylist. It never ended up the way I planned it to be . Fashion business has always been something that I would want to pursue in the future. I prefer working on my own than working under someone as it gives room to creativity.
Who is your inspiration/role model? (blogging)
I never looked up to anyone(bloggers) before I started my blog. When I started off, there were just around 1-2 Fashion blogs from India. But the main reason why I started blogging was due to YOUTUBE Beauty videos.

No , this isn’t my first blog.

I had started my first blog when I was about 14 & I suppose I deleted it.
Tell us what is fashion according to you?
Your clothes should speak a thousand words before you start to talk.
Who is your fashion icon? Why?
I love Rachel Zoe.
Other than that, I am a big fan of some amazing British Bloggers.
The costliest thing you ever possess?
Currently my laptop ! This is the costliest thing I have purchased on my own.
What movie do you watch again & again?
I love the documentary “THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE”
What you do to promote your blog?
It’s all about communicating with other bloggers and forming a network.
Twitter plays a very important role here. I guess search engines help the bloggers out a lot too!
Do you blog as a part time job or full time?
Part time
How much you are earning from your blog? (approx)
- (Didn’t Answer).
What are your tips to newbie fashion bloggers?
Just have fun! It’s very important to be consistent & creative . Your blog should portray your personality . Everything takes time. When I started off, I had just 2-4 readers. Quality content is the pivotal part of the blog. Always choose quality over quantity. Make sure your posts are well put together! Develop a good relationship with the companies / sponsors that contact you & stay away from shady PR agencies.
