Himangini Singh Yadu ~ Wins Miss Asia Pacific 2012
It’s been over a decade since an Indian beauty to make us proud. But at last Himangini Singh Yadu, achieved it for us, by winning this year’s Miss Asia Pacific crown last Saturday. The girl from Indore was the first girl to win the title in the last 12 years.
The pageant held in Busan, South Korea, “all the hard work paid out for the girl and the dream became true” ~ this is what she said after wining the title.
She was chosen for the pageant from the Sushmita Sen organization ~ I am she, the winners who are chosen by this organization are propel to the Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Asia Pacific pageants.
We did it! The entire team is extremely happy and very proud of Himangini for winning the international title… She has so beautifully represented India and won us back that sweet taste of victory,” said Sushmitaa. Himangini also thanked the organization for the efforts after winning the pageant.
The last Miss Asia Pacific was won by an Indian in 2000 by Dia Mirza and since then, no Indian Beauty was able to win this title. Only Nicole Faria won the Miss Earth last year to make a statement after a long gap.
Himangini Singh Yadu has done her graduation in computer application from Indore`s International Institute of Professional Studies. She won Miss Indore in 2006 and walked the ramp at various fashion shows.
